Better Because... QW Amish Manufacturing Process
Materials. Great furniture starts with great wood. There's simply no substitute. We use only the finest quality sustainable North American hardwoods. No particleboard or MDF will see the inside of our manufacturing facilities. We select the best oak, cherry, brown maple, hard maple, hickory, walnut and quarter sawn white oak.
Solid Construction. In every piece, we use the best connection technique for the purpose. Drawers are sturdy and durable due to dovetailed joints. Other types of time-proven joints include mortise and tenon, tongue and groove and mitered.
Time. We never rush. Slapping furniture together isn't compatible with creating heirlooms.
Sanding, sanding, sanding. Our special three-step sanding process ensures the silkiest, smoothest surface possible for applying stain.
Hand-Rubbed Finishing. When it's time to apply stain, it's all done by hand to ensure the even coat that only a master craftsman can achieve. We use a pre-catalyzed varnish to make a surface that's lustrous and tough, resisting any damage from water spills.
Meticulous Inspection. When a piece is finished, it's not necessarily ready to go out the door. First, it must pass a rigorous up-close inspection for any imperfections in the wood or finish, and to make sure the hardware works flawlessly. If the slightest defect is found, the piece goes back for fixing and is then put through the entire inspection process again.
Heirloom Quality Result. The final result is a perfectly crafted piece of furniture that will last for generations. And one that's unique, due to natural variations in real wood. Your piece will be like none other on earth.
